  1. Carragheen.com What’s Your Acne Type and The Cause Behind It In this world, no two people living with acne share the same experience. Some experience minor breakout, some have deep cystic acne on consistent basis and some have occasional skin problems. In fact, acne symptoms are regional as well and only appear in specific spots, like the forehead. If you struggle with acne on forehead and you wish to treat them up, it is imperative to understand the acne symptoms and why they pop up. So, below is the guide on types of acne on forehead and below it is causes and prevention. Comedones: These are small spots also known as blackheads and whiteheads that comes in various flavors. The type of acne depends on the ability of the individual to produce oil too. The acne on forehead are usually caused by occluded pores, so more whiteheads are seen there. Pustules and Papules: While whiteheads are by far the most common acne on the forehead, raised red pimples are also known to pop up in the area. Also, inflammatory papules and pustules are less frequent than comedones on forehead. Milia: Not technically an acne, it can sometimes take shape on the forehead as well. The difference between the two is that acne forms when the excess oil and dead skin cells clod a pore and create bacteria. Milia is seen when the keratin traps udner the surface of the skin to create little bumps. These bumps resemble whiteheads and most commonly found on women. No matter where it pops up, acne symptoms are mostly treated the same way. They are caused by four things 1.Follicular Occulsion 2.Bacteria and Fungus in the follicle 3. Accumulation of oil and sebum in the follicle 4.Inflammation

  2. Carragheen.com When these four things clog up acne happens. However, the acne on forehead can be exacerbated when something near that skin happens. 1.Excess Oil Production- Acne on the forehead share its pathogenesis with facial acnes like heredity, environment and hormones. The excess oil by the sebaceous gland piles up which is sent through the pores to protect and hydrate the skin. 2.Tight Clothing- Sure, there is not much clothing on the forehead, but this refers to anything that comes in contact with. Like headbands, helmets, scarves and hair. Bandanas, headbands or even touching your forehead a lot can manually occlude the forehead skin and cause forehead acne. 3.Food-grade oil- This one is an interesting tidbit. Using product like coconut and olive oil can cause forehead acne as edible products such as these tend to increase the growth of the bacteria on skin. 4.Hair Products- Oily and sticky of hair products might make their way from your tresses to forehead causing acnes. 5.Sweating- Yes, sweating detoxes the body but for acne-prone skins it is imperative to rinse away ASAP and not left linger on the top of pores because sweat increases oil in the follicles. So don’t skip splashing of your skin post workout. Likewise, reason like dead skin, over exposure to pollution can also attribute to the cause of acnes on forehead.
