2. Đến một lúc, chúng ta bỗng thông hiểu tất cả mọi quy luật của đất trời: Không có gì là trường tồn bất biến, ngược lại, chính nhờ biến đổi mà chúng ta có được những điều mới mẻ tinh khôi. There comes a time when we suddenly understand thoroughly all the laws of the universe : Nothing is permanent; on the contrary, thanks to changes that we have new and inovative things.

3. Đến một lúc, mọi giông tố mịt mùng không che nổi sự bừng sáng của con tim và mọi khổ đau buồn tủi không đánh gục được niềm lạc quan tiềm ẩn trong tinh thần. There comes a time when dark storms cannot cover the enlightenment of the heart and all sufferings cannot defeat the hidden optimism in the mind.

4. Chúng ta sống quá lâu trong thành kiến và định kiến hẹp hòi, và thói xấu này cùng chen chân với lòng kiêu ngạo trong ngôi nhà bản ngã; đến một lúc, chúng ta cần phải bước ra khỏi cửa để ngắm nhìn tất cả sự mênh mông bát ngát của đất trời. We have lived too long with prejudices and narrow fixed views, and this bad habit coexists with haughtiness in the house of ego; there comes a time when we need to step out of the door to look at all the vast immensities of the world.

5. Đến một lúc, chúng ta cảm nhận được niềm vui khi lòng mình rộng mở và tim mình thắp sáng lên niềm tin yêu vào cuộc sống. There comes a time when we can feel the joy when our mind is wide open and our heart lights up our faith in life.

6. Đến một lúc, chúng ta nhìn lại và cười vào những trò hề do chính mình tạo ra, và chúng ta trở nên trầm lắng để nghiệm ra tâm hồn cần tĩnh tại dường nào. There comes a time when we look back and laugh at our own silly games, and we become calm to discover how much our mind needs to quiet down.

7. Chúng ta chợt nhận thấy quy luật sâu xa của hạnh phúc trong cuộc sống không chỉ là đón nhận mà còn là cho đi. We suddenly realize that the deep principle of happiness in life is not just to receive but also to give.

8. Đến một lúc, chúng ta cảm thấy ngập tràn hạnh phúc không phải vì vớt lên được cái gì đó từ dòng nước, mà chính là quăng xuống bớt để dòng nước cuốn trôi. There comes a time when we feel overwhelmed with happiness not from pulling out something from the flowing water, but from throwing down some of our loads for the water to carry away.

9. There comes a time when we understand that true joy is not found on the peak of glory or the mountain of golden flowers, but on our walk when we can make relaxing steps and admire wild flowers and plants along the way. Đến một lúc, chúng ta hiểu được niềm vui đích thật không phải là ở đỉnh vinh quang hay ngọn núi ngập hoa vàng, mà chính là được bước đi thảnh thơi và ngắm hoa đồng cỏ nội trên đường.

10. Chúng ta chợtnhận ra rằnghạnhphúckhông ở đâuxamàchính là đượcmãnnguyệntrongtừnggiâyphúthiệntại. We suddenly realize that happiness is not far away but in every present moment when we are pleased.

After we have experienced all kinds of love and hatred, hope and boredom, success and failure, there comes a time when we suddenly realize that everything in the world comes and goes, appears and disappears, like a theater show.

12. Chúng ta cảmthấymọilýluận, ngôntừđềuthừathãi, thayvàođóchỉcầnmộtnụcười, mộtánhmắthoặcmộttìnhthươngnồngấm,dẫuchỉ là củakháchquađường,cũngđủlàmcho ta ấmlòngvàhạnh phúchơntrong cuộcsống. We feel that all reasoning and words are too much, instead, only a smile or a warm loving-kindness, even from a passer-by, is enough to make us feel warmhearted and happier in life.

There comes a time when we see that youth is full of dreams and hard work to build a vague future, and old age is always full of remembrances and regrets of long ago.

15. Đến một lúc, chúng ta hiểu ra rằng duy chỉ tình thương chứ không phải thứ gì khác, mới giúp được con người thiết lập lại trật tự và hòa bình cho nhân loại. There comes a time when we understand that only loving-kindness, and nothing else, can help man reconstruct the order and peace for mankind.

16. Mọidòngsôngđềuchảy ra biểncả, mọi con đườngchânlýđềuhướngvềnẻođạovôbiên,vàmọiyêuthươngchungcuộcđềuđạtđến chânphúc. All rivers flow to the sea, all roads of truth turn to the infinite way, and all loving kindness leads to true happiness in the end.

17. Đếnmộtlúc, chúng ta cầnphảidọnđấttrồnghoatrênmảnhvườncủamình,hơn làmỏimònchờđợi ai đómanghươngsắcđếndângcho mình. There comes a time when we need to get our own garden ready for flower planting instead of waiting wearily for someone to bring flowers to us.

There comes a time when we feel that daily activities should bring us daily joys, not obligations or mechanical and monotonous routines in life.

20. Đến một lúc, chúng ta hiểu ra rằngíchkỷthườngkhiếnmìnhnhìnthấylỗilầm và cáixấunơingườikháchơn là nơibảnthân. There comes a time when we understand that selfishness often makes us see mistakes and flaws in other people rather than in ourselves.

21. Chúng ta thườngchechởvàbảovệmìnhkhỏinhững tổnthương,nhưngnhư thế là vôtìnhlàm hại vàgiếtchếtmình. We often guard and protect ourselves from hurts and wounds, but in so doing we have inadvertently harm and kill ourselves.

22. Đếnmộtlúc, chúng ta cảmthấysựthathứbaodung là mónquàvôgiácầnthiếtmà con ngườicóthểtraotặngchonhaukhôngbaogiờvơi.. There comes a time when we feel that tolerance and generosity are necessary priceless and never-ending presents that human beings can give each other forever.

When we feel our ambitions are too big while human life is too short, then we understand that the baggage for the journey of ten thousand miles is not what we can hold on the outside but the immortal soul within us.

24. Đếnmộtlúc, chúng ta hiểurằng con đườngtâmlinhtuyệtđốiđơnđộc, không ai cóthểđicùng mìnhdẫuđó là ngườithânyêunhất. There comes a time when we understand that the spiritual road is absolutely solitary; nobody can go with us, not even our most beloved.

25. Khi chúng ta cảmnhậnđược rằng nhữngkhoảnhkhắctĩnhlặngnhỏ bé trongtâmhồncònquýgiáhơncảnhữngtàisảnđượccấtgiữchungquanh là lúcchúng ta địnhđượcgiátrịđíchthậtcủamộtkiếpngười. When we can feel that quiet little moments in our mind are more precious than belongings around us, then we can tell the true value of a human life.

26. Chúng ta hiểurằngcầnthánhhóađờisốnghơn là đitìmthiênđường ở chốnxa xôi. We understand that it is more necessary to deify life than seek heaven in far away places.

27. Đến một lúc, chúng ta cảm thấy không còn khiếp sợ địa ngục hoặc một thế lực tối cao nữa; nhưng bằng trí tuệ tuyệt vời, chúng ta thấy rằng vạn pháp vốn là không, và số phận tùy thuộc vào khả năng giác ngộ của chính mình. There comes a time when we no longer feel terrified of hell or a supreme power; but with great wisdom, we see that all things are originally empty, and our destiny depends on the enlightenment ability of ourselves.

28. Chúng ta cảm thấy nhẹ nhàng, thanh thản trước những mất mát, đau thương, vì dòng nước thanh lương có thể cuốn trôi đi bao hệ lụy và có thể đưa chúng ta đến bến bờ tươi sáng của ngày mai. We feel peaceful and serene when facing losses and sufferings, because the clear and pure flowing water can carry away all attachments and take us to the bright sunny shore of tomorrow.
