  2. Only proofread it. Twice. Twice. Since mistakes on your resume poorly reflect your attention to detail. Let it be proofread by someone else. Twice. Since your own mistakes are hard to find. Use a format that is simple. You want your content, not your layout (unless you're a graphic designer or artist), to be memorable. Using succinct, simple sentences. Too much text overwhelms the eyes of a reviewer. You just get their attention for a few seconds, so make your strong points stand out. Include your research assignments and coursework. Don't hesitate to do so, especially if you don't have any work experience. What else should you bring in? Any charity or community service work should be included. Often people are not afraid to use it to assist with projects for a family member or religious group. List your accomplishments. Never fail to impress with high grade averages and test scores. It is never necessary to talk about low grade averages and test scores. Ever, ever. List it if you have some job experience at all that can provide you with a positive guide. Showing you're not afraid to work
