Lesson #1: Useful • Blended learning system (based on Moodle) is better than (roll your own) web site • Easier to use • Has more features; administrative and management
Lesson #2: Need more practice • Some misconfigurations • Students can change answers during quiz/tests • Archiving • How to use old files for new class • How to hide old classes from new students; make it uncluttered
Lesson #3: Need support • Need assistants • To mark assignments • To generate reports • To do analysis • To do tutorials • Technical support • For technical issues
Lesson #4: Capacity Planning • Server crashed during test • Too many students?(At that time around 120 students) • Server shared with other services • Must perform capacity planning • Large number of students • Need comittment from top management • Infrastructure • Support
Summary • Blended learning system is a very useful platform • But not optimized yet • Improvements • Need more practice to use it • Technical details / configs / reports / archiving • Need assistants • Capacity planning
