  2. Mexican hot chocolate • For my day of the dead project I made Mexican hot chocolate. Its actually a really easy process.

Directions and ingredients Ingredients • 1 tablespoon and 1.5 teaspoons of instant hot chocolate mix • 1.5 teaspoons chocolate syrup • 2 tablespoons milk • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon • ¼ cup and 2 tablespoons boiling water Directions • In a small bowl mix together the instant hot chocolate mix, chocolate syrup, and cinnamon. • Heat water until boiling or the temperature you prefer • Pour the milk into the small bowl • Add boiling water • Mix all ingredients together • Pour into a cup • Enjoy

  4. What they used it for • Day of the dead is a celebration to celebrate the lives of peoples loved ones who have passed away. There are many traditions that people do to celebrate including making Mexican hot chocolate. Mexican hot chocolate is usually placed on altars during day of the dead to give the spirits something to drink after their long journey down to earth, and it would be given to the children celebrating for a treat to drink.
