William Farquhar William Farquhar with Stanford Raffles establishedBritish presence in Singapore. He was left in charge of the settlement after Stanford Raffles left and went to Bencoolen, Sumatra. He was very helpful to Singapore in the deeds that he had done but unfortunately he left to Britain and soon after died.
