  2. Welcome to the Recruiting Team By now, you have been assigned a mentor to assist with all the guidance needed to ensure you become a successful recruiter. Reading all the documents in the team forum will be your first step in regards to literature about promoting and recruiting let alone what guidelines to follow. All questions should be directed to your mentor during the training process. During training, its critical that you fully understand what Meditec’s Programs encompass and what the MyCAA funding represents in order to be a successful recruiter.

  3. Setting up a Facebook Account 1. Make sure to name it Meditec 2. Here are some suggestions: Meditec - A MyCAA Approved School or Meditec - Online Courses for Military Spouses 3. Use the Meditec Logo as your main photo. 4. Use some of the links provided by your mentor (i.e. MyCAA Portal, Military OneSource, Meditec’s main website, etc.). 5. Look at your mentors Meditec Facebook Page as a reference. 6. Be careful using the word FREE. Meditec Logo

  4. Where To Promote • Military Support Pages • Military Group Pages • Military Yard Sale Pages • Overseas • Form a blog, create a Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn account! • Education fairs, career fairs, bazaars, and in your own home. • Craigslist • Bookoo.com • Military Newspaper • Education Center • Community Bulletin Boards • Promote on your personal Facebook page! • Word of mouth – family, friends, acquaintances, etc..

  5. How To Promote Always use your Facebook Meditec link in your posts. That way prospective students/recruits can have something tangible to read in reference to Meditec/MyCAA information. Here is a example: One of the many greatest incentives that the military has to offer for Military Spouses is MyCAA. The MyCAA grant is your benefit towards educational goals. This grant allows you to study, train and prepare for portable careers that go where you go. Earning a portable career in the Medical, Paralegal, Business and Real Estate fields will do that for you. Be empowered! Start today! Your future depends on it. For more information click on the link, respond to this post with your email address or send me one to janedoe@domain.com Meditec - MyCAA Approved <insert link here>

  6. Who Qualifies for MyCAA • The MyCAA program is open to all eligible spouses under the new program guidelines below: • • Spouse of an active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine service member, or activated Reserve member in pay grades E1-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O2 • • If the spouse of National Guard and/or AGR member, the sponsor must be on federal Title 10 active duty orders as reported in DEERS • • Spouses of Guard/Reserve members in an Alert, Transition Assistance, or Post Deployment status are not eligible • • Spouses must finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course • • Funding is limited to only Associate’s degrees, credentials and licensure programs • •Please allow for 15 days for approval of all financial assistance documents

  7. What Is MyCAA Unofficially referred to as Spouse Tuition Assistance, the Department of Defense recently expanded Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program can provide up to $4,000 of Financial Assistance for military spouses. MyCAA does not pay for education and training programs that include computers (CPUs or laptops); application, graduation or membership fees; student activity cards; child care; parking; transportation; or medical services. If a spouse enrolls in a course without an approved MyCAA Financial Assistance (FA) document, the spouse will be responsible for paying course costs. MyCAA does not provide reimbursements of any kind to spouses for any reason. MyCAA FA payments are made directly to schools using MyCAA’s electronic invoicing system. As A Second Language (ESL) Classes and GED Classes and Testing Programs. Unfortunately, Coast Guard spouses are not covered by the MyCAA Spouse Employment congressional mandate: PL 110-417 Sec 582. Coast Guard is a part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), not the Department of Defense.

  8. 9. Now you’re ready to form a Team!- Remember to conduct yourself in a professional manner, no matter the circumstances.- You will act as a mentor/liaison to new recruits.- Provide feedback when necessary and have fun with your team!

  10. Recruitment Recruit to Military Spouses, communities and admins on support pages. Example Job Description for Potential Meditec MyCAA Recruiters: · Promote Meditec on pages geared towards Military Spouse. Some recruiters set up blogs, FB pages, local craigslist ads, include it in newsletters, but I believe most is by word of mouth. · Compensation is as follows: $200 per person for the first five spouses that enroll ($1000.00 total) and then the sixth spouse that enrolls and up is $300 per person. (Do the math if you refer just 10 who enroll that is $2,500!) · A check is mailed out monthly to your address, meaning you get paid only once a month. (Cutoff date is every third Friday of the month.) · You'll be considered a private contractor, self employed and you'll need to take out your own taxes each month when your check comes in. Set it aside for tax purposes. Rule of thumb is 25% to set aside. · The contract is for one year and it’s up to the director to extend the employment opportunity any further. · Set up a Facebook page, blogs, etc., but DO NOT publish it until you have e-signed the contract. · Every Friday is a mandatory conference call (if you cannot attend, just please let us know and we can send you the minutes- if you have a mentor, she/he will help you too) at 1 pm CST and we all need to be on the call or get the minutes later. · We can set you up with a mentor and you will be considered part of that person’s team, but that doesn’t prevent you from setting up your own team! · Please sign up and follow our new Meditec MyCAA Reps blog at www.meditecmycaareps.com , it is set up as a neutral site for everyone to come and ask questions, give suggestions, exchange ideas that will help us build our business. · Sylvia Cavazos-Malamon (sylvia.malamon@360training.com, (512-861-0422) will be your main contact person, but all leads will be sent to our director: Jennifer Blair (Jennifer.blair@360training.com) with the exception of Real Estate leads for Texas that can be sent directly to (Imelda.Cantu@360training.com)

  11. Team Formation • Create a Team Forum • Name your Team • Provide links and useful information that is military related • Use any Team logo you want that signifies who you are as their mentor • Test their knowledge base with Q & A’s • Be attentive • Set up goals • Give praise and recognition • Relate to your recruits • Follow up with their progress

  12. Suggested Rules To Follow • On pages/groups and support sites, ask permission to post about Meditec/MyCAA. • Read about Meditec’s programs at www.meditec.com • Read about MyCAA at www.militaryonesource.com or https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/ • Those that don’t qualify for the MyCAA Grant, refer them to other alternatives such as Military OneSource or the Education Center. • If another Meditec Recruiter has posted on a site you normally post, please allow one day to post your promotion on active pages/group and support sites. If its not active, wait four days to post. • Respect other recruiters and send them a message about any and all inquiries related to posts, Meditec, corrections and so on that needs to be addressed. This will alleviate negative feedback from the outside community. • Always participate in the conference calls held every Friday, its MANDATORY unless specified otherwise. Make sure to ask questions there that haven’t been answered by your mentor or given enough clarity.

  13. Continued…. • You are a Recruiter, not an Admissions Advisor. Its important to be educated about Meditec and MyCAA but any questions pertaining to the program lengths, fees, internships, job placement and so on, are to only be answered by our Admission Advisors at Meditec. • Read the Meditec Handbook for students. This will be emailed to you by the mentor along with mock emails and leads information. • Understand that we are a certified school, not accredited. • Direct your questions/concerns to your mentor, they are there to assist you. If they don’t have the answer, an inquiry will be put in to get one. • Once your Facebook account is created, please forward the link to your mentor. They will then forward your link to the director who will then pass it along to the legal department for approval. • Rule of thumb is to promote on 100 pages daily, send 10 or more leads weekly and aim for 40+ leads monthly (not mandatory but is recommended). • There is no such thing as claimed territories or protected areas. Every recruiter is allowed to promote worldwide. • Always conduct grievances in a private message or if needed be, escalate them to our director. It is highly encouraged to work it out amongst each other before it reaches the director.
