NOTIONAL AUTOMATED INSTALLATION ENTRY (AIE)-3 OV-1 SERVERS Data Center CAC CAC Fixed-Full System or Handheld System The Automated Installation Entry (AIE) is a software and hardware system designed to read and compare personnel identification media. The results of the comparison are used to permit or deny access to installations IAW installation criteria. The system will expedite installation entry of authorized personnel. Step 1: After an extensive check, personnel are enrolled and appropriate credential is provided if needed. Data is stored in registration database. Step 2: The driver then approaches the lane and swipes a system approved ID or CAC at lane’s reader. In the case of Handheld Lane Operations, the Guard will scan the driver’s credentials. Information is compared to locally stored personal information and entry is allowed or denied based on information given. Use of biometrics for entry at higher FPCON levels. Open Base Step 1: As vehicle approaches the AIE system camera captures the license plate number and sends that information to department of motor vehicles for vetting and law enforcement sources.. Step 2: If there is a criminal match the remote monitoring station is alerted and a notification/COP is sent to security personnel Enrollment / VCC AIE Enrollment Station DEERS NCIC Law Enforcement State Out of state STEP 1 AIE System + To INSTALLATION Personnel identification Receives COP on handheld CAC Automatic registration available at vehicle lane Barrier Further Guard Intervention Required Driver Credentials match = Access granted Driver’s info negative response =Access denied Access Control Point Remote Monitoring Station Develops Common Operating Picture (COP) Gate House Open Base Unmanned ACP: No AIE vehicle lane equipment STEP 2 License plate number is vetted, owner information obtained, current wants and warrants sent to DES (remote monitor and control location Fixed-Full System Handheld System Driver swipes system approved ID or CAC and/or scans biometric Guard scans system approved ID or CAC and/or biometric AIE system captures license plate number (Open Base) STEP 1 (Open Base only)
