  2. Mae’s Nightmare It all started the night when Mae escaped from prison. When she had a terrible nightmare where Winnie’s plan worked. The terrible thing is that instead of going home Winnie was sent to the gallows because she helped Mae escape. She would not wake up and had to imagine Winnie’s young lifeless body hanging at the gallows. Dun dun DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Expository The Tucks and there horse all drank from a spring, the cat didn’t, in the woods. Then they marked the tree with a “T” to show where they’ve been. They were looking for a place to live. When they found a settlement weird events started to happen. First, one of the boys fell out of the tree on his neck and he wasn’t even bruised. Another event was, the horse was shot by hunters assuming it was a deer and the bullet went right through the horse. The dad was then bit by a venomous snake and was not effected at all. Then Ma cut her hand and didn’t start bleeding. No one had aged but since the cat did not drink it died. Then they assumed they could live forever. They proved their theory by having the dad shoot himself with a shotgun.
