  9. “We brought the classroom to the cafeteria” • Personally visited all schools over a 22 week period to train students, staff, and faculty. • Conducted revisit trainings to insure success of the program. Education and Training

  10. Diversion Success • Total pounds Diverted in the first 6 months : 2,107,480 pounds • Projected totals for 2011-12 school year: Over 4 million pounds

  12. Lessons Learned Program success works from the top down and bottom and up Kids can do this on their own! Reduces labor costs for schools 3-d signs are important Introduce classroom education on waste resource management Expand to school events Program success varies by district Product stewardship
