  3. 圖書館因應電子時代所做的調適 • 快速擴增電子資源的投資 • 電子資源的使用也快速增加 • 館藏不再必須擁有; 只要訂閱, 或是付點閱費(paid per view) • 漸漸地,要提供的是某篇論文,而非整本期刊; 要提供某篇章節,而非整本書 • 年成長率30%-35% 電子館藏 vs.5%-6%紙本館藏(Source: ARL Statistics 2003-2004 Report (2005))

  17. 步驟 1: 區隔decoupling 我們決定將讀者使用需求與圖書館行政管理功能隔開

  18. 藉由區隔, 我們得以… • 全面照顧使用者需要,再無架構和管理流程產生的限制 • 可以很方便加入許多圖書館館藏之外的資訊 • 與其他資訊環境整合也便容易了 • 當然對圖書館現行系統的扞格也就不存在

  20. 步驟 2: 出版平台 • 執行從圖書館管控的資訊中匯集(harvesting)資料的工作 • 將原始資料正規化(Normalizes)與豐富化(enriches) • 建立正規化資訊Primo normalized XML (PNX) • 再建Primo索引, 完成deduplicated 而且 FRBRized的 PNX資訊, • 維持 Primo index
