Scale Issues • People scale-2 pixels per person • Message scale(fares well) • Each overlap accounts for 400 messages • With gray scale shading 256*400=102400 • Average number of messages for 1 to 1 chat 3 messages per minute • So supports non-stop chatting for 20 days • Use of multi-level zooming techniques

  7. Future Work • Dynamic searches based on topic databases • Dynamic building of topic databases • Using length of lines to indicate message importance • Building topic threads basing on dynamic searches • Imposing semantic structure on the Chat history • Incorporating timing information
