  8. Implementation Issues

  9. Implementation Issues ■ How does serving network route SMDPP to home network? - So far most operators (SKT, TMNZL, CU, Hutch CAT, APBW) support Indirect SMS routing so they can route SMDPP based on calling number (IRM) - SMDPP will be routed to TSI and TSI will work as a SMS facilitator - Serving network should fully support MIN/MDN separation to avoid number conflict (IRM and local numbering plan)

  10. Implementation Issues ■ Which parameter does your MC expect as a final terminating address? - So far most operators’(TMNZL, CU, Hucth CAT, APBW) MC expects SMS_ODA - SKT MC expect SMS_DA

  11. Implementation Issues ■ Which value does your MSC and MC send and expect in SMDPP? - SMDPP from MSC - SMDPP to MC

  12. Implementation Issues ■ How can operators charge Int’l SMS MO? - Basically SMS CDR is generating in not MSC but MC so home operators can charge their subscribers - For roaming rate and settlement we can use TSI report ■ Others - MIN-MDN value conversion in TSI - MDN parameter insert in TSI

  13. Action Items

  14. Action Items ■ Who are volunteers for int’l SMS MO trial? ■ Any information on GSM’s int’l SMS MO revenue?
