  1. Explorers Introduction: One morning you woke up and found out all textbooks on the European Explorers were wiped out! Your school has asked all fifth-grade students to help fill in the pages in order to create new textbooks. To do so you must conduct your own investigation using computer-based research.

  2. Task: Each student is to work independently on their research. • Using the internet, research information on your explorer. • Record the answers of each question on your explorer in your social studies notebook. • After you have finished your research, you will make a giant-sized text book page to create a new text book on the explorers.

  3. Process: • Each student will have one explorer to research. • Using the list below, choose only one explorer. • Below the name of each, are web links to assist you in your research. • Using the information, answer the questions pertaining to your explorer. • Be sure to answer each question in complete sentences. • Again, Good Luck!
