  1. Rough Draft! List…It’s what a 4th grader does…

Shadow is my puppy.  He is 12 weeks old.  He is a labradoodle.  He is black and cute.  He is very sweet and nice.  He is always my friend.  He loves to lick me.  He's always ready to play with me.  Whenever I leave he cries at the door.  He's learned how to sit.  Now he's learning how to stay.  He likes to play with our neighbor's dogs.  He is goofy.  He trips over his own feet and lands on his chin.  He loves water.  He splashes in his water bowl and makes a mess.  Now he can only get water outside.  I've always wanted a puppy.  When we first got him my heart was pumping with joy.  I was so excited to finally get a puppy.  I love Shadow.  I couldn't ask for a better dog and friend.

There she was, mostly charcoal black, with fluffy long fur, and a really cute face. You’d heard of puppy eyes? Well she had them alright. They were brown, and glistened like marbles. Once they locked in on me, I couldn’t say no, and we became instant best friends.

  5. He is very sweet and nice.  He is always my friend.  He loves to lick me.  He's always ready to play with me • Shadow is always ready to play fetch or wrestling. I pretend I am John Cena pinning a hairy monster. Often, I’ll end up getting her hair in my mouth, and maybe a few scratches. But the worst is when her hair sticks to my sweaty face…I look like a were-wolf! I know Shadow likes to play because her tail always wags a ton when we play.

Most people might think it’s disgusting, but her kisses bring me comfort. There is nothing better than coming home from a bad day, and having her long, smooth, rose-pink tongue gliding across my face. She keeps me company, and her excitement lets me know just how happy she is to see me. It feels great, and I couldn’t imagine a better welcome when I come home from a rough day at school.
