problem
Problem
  • How to take my rabbit while it is under its cage?
purpose
Purpose
  • Because my hand is not long enough to reach my rabbit, so I need to find a tool to help me do it.
prior knowledge
Prior Knowledge
  • My rabbit cannot grow very big.
  • My rabbit likes dry food.
  • Effort is the part where we use our forces and energy.
  • Load is the part where we put the object that we want to lift(rabbit)
  • Fulcrum is the balancing part.
materials
Materials
  • 3 sizes of Rabbit
  • 1m wood
  • 1 trapezoid (fulcrum)
  • Short wood (handle)
  • 2 axles
hypothesis
Hypothesis
  • If I create a lever to take my rabbit then I don’t need to use my energy to do it.
variables
Variables
  • Independent variables: The position of the fulcrum in the lever
  • Dependent variables: The easier way to get the rabbit.
  • Controlled variables: The length of the wood, the sizes of the wheel, rabbit and handle.
background knowledge
Background Knowledge
  • Rabbit likes dry food
  • This invention is a seesaw
  • It is a lever.
result
Result

The fulcrum which is near the axle is an easier way to take the rabbit. It is because the rabbit is near to us and we can take it easily. If it is far the rabbit can jump and we should do the experiment again and again.

conclusion
Conclusion

My hypothesis was correct because I have done the experiment and prove that I don’t need to use many energy to get the rabbitwith the exception that the position of the fulcrum is near the effort.
