Organ, Eye and Tissue Donation • More than 3,400 Ohioans are waiting for an organ transplant • Hundreds await a tissue or cornea transplant • Just over half of Ohioans have registered • Everyone has the ability to make a difference • According to a 2010 study, 9 out of 10 Ohioans reported having a positive view toward donation. • More than 80 percent stated that, if they were to die, they would want to donate one or more of their organs • When it comes to organ, eye and tissue donation, hospitals are a highly credible source for health information
