DVD COVER (FRONT) Purpose: To inform the audience of the details about the film, including: Title of the movie so the audience know the title of the movie Rating sign so the audience know the appropriate target age audience. The 2 Disc Collector’s edition at the top displaying that this particular DVD is a special edition and may contain an extra DVD.

  3. DVD Cover (Back) The back of the DVD cover will contain further details of the movie such as: • Producer and director’s name on the bottom of the DVD. • Release Date of the film. • Blurb of the movie, this will also name some of the other main • Characters in the film. • Pictures or screen shots of the movie to provide the audience of the imagery and setting of the film.

DVD Cover (Back) • The time length of the movie. • Special Features so the audience can see what special features are on the DVD, especially because this copy is a collector’s edition. • The composer would like the audience to know what makes the DVD. • A special edition in comparison to the regular edition of this DVD.

  5. Good(Protagonist) Vs. Evil (Antagonist) • An Antagonist is commonly the opposing character of the protagonist. Villains often portray this character. • A Protagonist is usually the main or leading character in any literary work. Heroes frequently portray this character.

  7. Character Descriptions Write a paragraph on each of characters. Example: Tommy Woodcock is the protagonist and one of the main characters of the film who builds and supports Phar Lap. His character is caring and compassionate towards Phar Lap (Bobby), making sure that Phar Lap is well treated. Phar Lap and Tommy woodcock are inseparable. Film Posters • Film posters can be found inside cinemas, streets and in shops. • Their purpose is to advertise, inform and entertain the general public about the film by providing details such as: • Title of the movie. • Release Date. • The names of the main actors, directors and producers. • An image of the main actors. • Tagline.

  14. Film Review • Title that catches the reader’s interest and states the title of the movie. • Picture of the ‘Stars’ and main characters of the film. • Details of the film. (Rating, Genre of film, Director, producer and writer) • The tone of opening Paragraph(s) start differently depending of opinion of the composer or the film review. • Positive reviews: usually start with a brief analysis the WEAKER points and then develop the STRENGTHS of the film. • Negative reviews tend to acknowledge the few STRONG points first and then go into depth on the FAILINGS of the film

It tries to attract the interest of the reader by telling them what the story is about, in a short and interesting way. • Quotes- Newspaper articles will sometimes include what a person (like an eye-witness or an expert) has said. These will be in speech marks. • Photograph and caption – sometimes articles have a photograph, and a sentence explaining the photograph.
