AssignmentParts 1-3 Group Project Part 4-9 Individual • Think about the following ideas for your project A- Environmental Monitoring System B- Patient Monitoring System C- three other projects from the list • Establish AHP for part 1 • Identify the design category your would like to do for your capstone project (creative, routine, variant) and the type of the project in each category • Pick a project and identify its needs – refer to the example in class • Identify your design objectives – refer. to the example in class • Write four pages of survey providing some of the existing solutions – must present at least 5 solution and include A- Government statistics B- One technical journal – IEEE • List 5 marketing requirements for your design • Rank all the marketing needs • Draw a preliminary objective tree for the design

Assignment • Review your NEED write-up from the previous assignment and write an ABSTRACT to reflect the engineering requirements for your system . • Develop a table and separate all your marketing and engineering requirements as shown in the case study for the car audio amplifier • Verify briefly that your engineering requirements are in fact orthogonal. • In the Engineering Requirement Section of your table identify the category of each requirement (e.g., economical, environmental, etc.) • Create a complete HOQ for your design. • Have two other students write a half page review on your HOQ and your abstract. You must identify your reviewer’s name. • Complete the two tables in the next page individually. • Have two other students review your Technology tables and write a brief half page review. You must identify your reviewer’s name.

  3. Assignment (Individual + Group) • Identify 5 different types of transmission protocols that can be use to interface sensors to the processor (wired and wireless) • Identify 5 different types of technologies which allows you to interface to the Internet (servers) – Must use magazines such as NUTS and VOLTS; Circuit Cellar, Make, etc.
