  1. Are you interested in employing a Science Student? Submit a UROP Project (The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program) • Students available to commence work in laboratories during the universities’ summer recess in December/January. Actual start dates are arranged by the supervisor and student. • The Bio21 Cluster, through the UROP team, co-ordinate the call for applications from students and conduct the initial screening interviews. Suitable candidates will then be introduced to individual supervisors. • Students are employed by your institution as casual staff at a rate equivalent to HEW2 (~$29.50 per hr). Students must work full-time during some or all of the vacation periods & 8 hours a week during semester. The Bio21 Cluster is not able to provide funds to pay UROP students. • Stipends are available for computational biology projects that meet particular criteria More information online: www.bio21.com.au/pages/urop or contact: urop-bio21@unimelb.edu.au Project submissions close 19 Sept and 12 Sept (stipend supported)
