Here are some ideas for using pastels in a way that isn’t hard to do, and is equally pleasing to both genders.  Play It Safe with Pastel Blues, Greens, pale pink and Yellows. If you like the idea of pastels but worry about making the room to sweet, stick to shades of powder, pale pink, baby blue, pale green, and buttery yellow that will blend right in while giving a neutral room a lift. Perhaps because they are the colors of flowers, sea, sky and sun, these colors often feel like neutrals calming shades in a room.
