  • Over the years, teams have proven that with solid and consistent quarterback play, a team can win the Superbowl.

49ers Success

  • The 49ers teams of the 1980’s and 1990’s were a proven dynasty that won fiver Super Bowl’s, including four in the 80’s.

  • In this span, the 49ers won ten or more games for sixteen straight seasons!

  • Their quarterbacks during that time—Joe Montana and Steve Young—arguably two of the best of all-time.

49ers woes l.jpg
49ers Woes

  • In 1999, Steve Young suffered a concussion during a game forcing him to retire

  • The 49ers never got back to their Super Bowl ways

  • They struggled to find a consistent quarterback to lead their team. With the first overall pick in the 2005 draft, they selected Alex Smith from Utah

  • The 49ers haven’t had a winning season since
