A Leading Logistics Service Provider, Middle East Warehouse Analytics Business Benefits Business Situation Client was using Crystal Reports tool for operational static reports that were used for analysis of warehouse occupancy and free space The objective was to build a new Warehouse Management Analytics platform based on OBIEE to deliver trend reports and dashboards Interactive analysis with drill down – drill up features Ad-hoc querying capability Availability of accurate up to date information of Key Performance Indicator Elimination of complete copy of transaction data base for reporting, savings in storage space and also improved query performance Solution • A star schema model data warehouse was designed after assessing the report requirements. • Hexaware’s Warehouse Analytics pack was customized for the requirement. • The ETL process was built using ODIEE and pulled data from core Logistics application on a daily basis. • The archived history data was also made available in the data warehouse. • Some of the key analytical reports delivered include • Occupancy By Company (3PL customer) over a period • Free Space availability over a period • Orders Dispatched Daily, Monthly, Yearly by Customer • Average Order Cycle time by Warehouse and Customer • Vendor Specific KPI Report Statistics • Reporting :Oracle Business Intelligence • ETL: Oracle Data Integrator • Database: Oracle, SQL Server • Implementation Time – 4 Months
