It was no coincidence that Buddy’s red collar matched my red sweater. I wanted us to look like partners today! The teacher was pleasant and calm. We watched as she modeled the first command. “Sit!” she said. She held her hand just above her dog’s head. As he looked up at her hand, he sat down. “Good Dog,” she said. I copied her command, but Buddy wouldn’t sit! T42-44 Student Edition 18-19
