  1. Some Things Jesus Saw And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. (Mk. 11:11) A Stirred City (Matt. 21:10) When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city. (Acts 8:5-8)

  2. Some Things Jesus Saw Money Changers (Matt. 21:12-13) 12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’” What would Jesus see today? • Christians worshiping in spirit & truth? • Christians experimenting in religion? • Christians serving self: food, fun, & frolic?

  3. Some Things Jesus Saw The Blind and the Lame (Matt. 21:14) 14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. People sick in sin in need of a Savior (Matt. 9:12) 12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” Some, but not all, recognize this need! 31 …Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.

  4. Some Things Jesus Saw The Who Should Have Been Readers (Matt. 21:16) 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?” The Lord expects us to read (Rev. 1:3) 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it… Paul taught Timothy to read (1 Tim. 4:13) 13 Till I come, give attention to reading…

  5. Some Things Jesus Saw A Barren Fig Tree (Matt. 21:19) 19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. Lesson of the Fig Tree: Produce fruit (Prov. 11:30) 30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. God’s Plan: Christians beget Christians (Col. 1:6) …The Gospel which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard…

  6. Some Things Jesus Saw Sheep Without A Shepherd (Matt. 9:36) 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. The Lost Need Our Help (1 Tim. 2:2; Rom. 10:14) 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
