Creative Thinking Development • ERASMUS+ KA2 – Strategic Partnership • Leader:  Ecological Recycling Society  ECOREC • Duration: 1/12/2014 – 30/11/2016 (concluded) • Budget: 243.577,00 € • Local Authorities Waste Prevention Training (LAWPreT) is a project which seeks to provide the necessary vocational training to employees in local authorities for waste prevention, through the combination of short-term physical mobility with virtual mobility.This will be achieved by a strong partnership between seven partners that complement each other with their background, experience and expertise, in related EU and nationally funded projects.  • During the implementation of LAWPreT, a set of outputs will be created, and also training activities and multiplier events will be organised, including: • an online training platform for LAs staff, • the collection of national strategies on waste prevention, • the development of Waste Prevention Guide, • the development of a training package, • a pilot long distance learning course lasting 3 weeks which will be conducted through the online training platform in English, Greek and Slovenian and a 2-day training seminar for 20 trainees from Greece, 20 from Cyprus and 20 from Slovenia; • training seminars for 60 staff members of Greek L.A.s, 20 staff members of Cypriot L.As and 20 of Slovenian L.As; • 4 seminars (2 in Greece, 1 in Cyprus and 1 in Slovenia) for the presentation of the Waste Prevention Guide. • 4 conferences in Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia and Belgium. http://waste-prevention.gr/waste/

Creative Thinking Development • EEA grants • 5 partners from Greece and Norway • Leader: NCSR Dimokritos • Duration: 1/1/2016 - 15/03/2017 (concluded) • Budget: 200,000 € • The aim of the project research will be to define the current state of the art regarding the involvement and awareness of women and especially young ones in ICT technologies and the benefits arising from their use in terms of employment. • The project will focus on exploring how social networks and the Internet can fight the employment disparities and promote new opportunities for entrepreneurship and self-employment of women and especially, young women. • The project involves the detection and evaluation of the existing possibilities offered by the electronic networks, tools and markets, as well as professional, educational, social networking platforms and e-learning. • A parallel scientific research will document and analyze the current use of the Internet for employment purposes and the awareness of young women in Greece. • Results • Research on the impact of ICT, social networks and media to create new paths for employability. • Social and cognitive research on the use of ICT in Greece for women and girls in terms of employability and entrepreneurship. • Research into social aspects and aspects of gender equality, security of social networks for women, women's empowerment, e-mentoring techniques, etc. • Research on possible ways for the adaptation of traditional economic practices with Internet capabilities and social networking. • Analysis and study of different technological platforms (Internet, social networks, applications) and concepts that lead to new forms of knowledge and teleworking opportunities, adaptation of technology for self-employment, entrepreneurship and other innovative forms of gain feedback from ICT market. • Information and education programs will be produced and pilot seminars will be organized on the latest trends for improving employability.

Creative Thinking Development • ERASMUS+ KA2 – Capacity Building • Leader: Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid • Duration: 15/10/2015 – 15/10/2018 • Budget: 879,400 € • The project concentrates on strengthening and enhancing the role of higher education institutions and universities in innovation capacity building, technology transfer and commercialization of applied scientific research outcome in Jordan aiming at the creation of the essential environment for innovation in order to build a knowledge-based economy. • The main objectives of the project that will be met through the establishment of 4 Centres for Transfer of Innovation (CTIs) in Jordan are: • The development of economic thinking and interest to use innovation by entrepreneurs and business community, • The raising of awareness of the innovation importance among the university researchers and the local businesses, • The provision of chance to the researchers to apply their research results, • The provision of a clear view of the technological needs of the local industries so that the research and researchers’ priorities can be well identified, • The capacity building of CTIs’ staff in order to enhance the sector of innovation and technology transfer.

Creative Thinking Development • ERASMUS+ Sport • Leader: CRE.THI.DEV., Greece • Duration: 01/01/2017-31/12/2018 • Budget: 298,400 € • 5 partners from 5 different countries (Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Italy) • The project seeks to provide the necessary awareness to sports teachers and children about basic human values through sports training. • The objective is to instill and teach children, at an age that is most vital to the development of character and personality, all the universal values that are concentrated in the Olympic ideals, through participation in sports activities, using a specially formulated educational material. • Main outcomes: • A research report, which will contain a review of the current status of awareness and sports policies about the FAIRHAP principles, • Development of the educational material and the teaching plans for the sports teachers, will be developed. A group of executive coaches from all partner countries will study and review the material and will mentor sports teachers in their own countries about the principles of FAIRHAP and the methodology of the material they must use for the training of the children. • Children will be trained in contact sports (football, basketball, handball, etc), using the specially formulated training material; they will also be evaluated before and after the training sessions and the results will be presented in a project report. • Open tournaments shall be held at the end of the project, in order to observe the athletic behaviour of children about the subjects of the project and to present the outcomes of the project to the public and the relevant stakeholders. www.fairhap-project.eu https://www.facebook.com/fairhap info@fairhap-project.eu

Creative Thinking Development Interreg Med Leader: Prato Municipality, Italy Duration: 01/11/2016 έως 28/02/2019 Budget: 2,221,050€. Co-funded by the European Regional Development fund with 1,887,892.50 €. MED, axis 1: "Promotion of innovation capacities for smart growth and sustainable development" Promoting Mediterranean innovation capacities to develop sustainable and smart growth. The project relies on the business operation of workshops developed by partners under project implementation TCBL funded by the Horizon 2020 programme. The main objective of the CreativeWear project is to develop a new model for creativity in the textile/clothing industry, offering innovative services in local, regional and transnational level. Results: 5 pilot hubs (creative nodes), which are expected to be the development kernels of creativity. These nodes will include collaborations from design schools, museums, research centres, public institutions, and communities of creators (artists). The broader goal is to direct any local creative actions in areas of developing business models related to textile/clothing companies.

To achieve this ambitious goal, the consortium identified a set of activities to be carried out through the creation of the FoodQA centers.   17. INNOLEA Innovation for the Leather Industry in Jordan and Egypt CRE.THI.DEV. Creative Thinking Development Erasmus + Capacity Building Leader: National Technical University of Athens, Greece Budget: 929,200€. Duration: 15/10/2017-14/10/2020 INNOLEA project aims to fill an apparent gap in the area of specialized services for the leather sector with the establishment of four leather centres in local Universities, two in Jordan and two in Egypt, utilizing the experience and expertise of EU partners in the area of services for the leather sector. Through the creation of these centres and the further tasks that will be implemented in this project, the leather sectors in Jordan and Egypt will be offered access to business development services, such as quality testing, product certification, training, fashion trends, production organization, BtoB and funding opportunities, and subsequently the Jordanian and Egyptian leathers sector will have a valuable ally for its further development. The project also aims to create and maintain a link between Universities and businesses of the leather sector that will foster innovation and the manufacturing of high value quality products, as well as further cooperation between EU and Jordan and Egypt Universities and leather businesses. The project also aims to help encourage the Egyptian and Jordanian governments to favour the establishment of leather centres within universities and to promote research and projects between EU and Egypt and Jordan universities in the leather sector, by creating a research innovation and training network, which will continue to operate and after the end of the current project.

Creative Thinking Development • Erasmus+ Strategic Partneship Higher Education • Leader:INDCPT - Institutul National De Cercetaredezvoltare Pentru Textile Si, Romania • Budget:255,112€ • Duration: 1/9/2017-28/2/2020 • The TEXSTRA project will develop the tools necessary for skills enhancement, targeted to higher education, in relation to research and innovation, in order to obtain its objectives: • to strengthen the knowledge triangle, i.e. the cooperation and networking between HEI’s, research organizations and companies in order to reinforce the textile research position in the European context as a potential development key; • to promote research & innovation based actions, testing and development of new e-learning tools for students, trainers and professionals; • to promote the application of good practices for the enhancement of innovative skills; and • to provide knowledge, skills and competences by using virtual tools. • The activities include • the development of a Need Analysis report, based on desk and field research, depicting the state of the art for the skills and training in the textile and clothing manufacturing industry related to research and innovation, • the development of a training programme and e-learning material for transferring research and innovation to textile and clothing students and companies • the development of an online platform for transferring research and innovation through project based training , • the Virtual Internship, a form of internship that is performed entirely online on the project platform, • the development of a Book of lectures “Innovative and Creative thinking in the Textile & Clothing manufacturing sector”, • the development of a “Project handbook of good practices & open challenges: training tools and methodologies to foster creativity and innovation within the textile and clothing manufacturing sector” • The intensive training summer course will be attended by selected students of the universities involved in the project.

Creative Thinking Development • ​Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership • Leader:TASEV (TurkiyeAyakkabiSektoruArastirmaGelistirmeVeEgitimVakfi), Turkey • Budget: 305,040€ • Duration: 1/9/2017-31/8/2019 • SHOEMAN aims to provide the instruments for the reengineering of the footwear sector and offer to the existing and aspiring managers of the sector the most up-to-date and according to the anticipations of required skills and training needs, knowledge and information. • The activities include: • the development of a research report, based on desk and field research, depicting the state of the art for the footwear sector • the development of a European Qualification Framework (EQF) of the New Manager for an Efficient and Innovative Footwear Industry • the development of the MOOC “New manager of the footwear industry” • the creation of the Virtual Challenge Community; a community made of relevant stakeholders active in the sector of footwear, that will serve as a platform for the Innovative Footwear Products Competition • the development of a Book of lectures for the Intensive training course and • a Decalogue of the 10 benefits deriving from the collaboration between companies, research and training centres in developing innovative footwear products. • the project includes also a training activity with the physical presence of trainees.

Creative Thinking Development • Erasmus+ Capacity Building • Leader: Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), Greece • Budget: 820,746€ • Duration: 15/10/2017-14/10/2020 • The wider objective of this project is to create qualified scientists who will contribute to the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture and will be readily absorbed by the labour market. These scientists could become the transformation factor for the whole society towards a more sustainable way of farming, production, consuming and living. • The specific objectives of this project are: • The creation of a concrete educational material on the Climate Change and its effects on agriculture and animal production in particular, as well as the measures that could be adapted in local perspective. The water and soil conservation practices, and water harvesting techniques, might be considered as good practices for rainfed farming to improve agriculture resilience for climate change. This opportunity can improve young qualified scientists’ capacities to cope with climate change. • The modernisation of university courses, based on that educational material through assessment of the existing educational programmes for engineer, master, and doctoral levels prior to developing the appropriate lectures. • The adaptation of these courses to the specific conditions of the Southern side of Mediterranean area in general and to those of Tunisia, specifically. In particular, the adopted lectures can improve courses in the CCGE Master's degree accredited at ESIER, by integrating good agricultural practices into the competencies targeted of educational program. • The use of ICT technologies for the delivery of the courses by creating specific tools (presentations, videos, website, e-learning platform, social media). • The strengthening of the internationalization of HEIs and the capacity to network effectively in research, scientific and technological innovation. • The HEIs-enterprises cooperation, through the foreseen Business fora.
