  3. Context….. We fully appreciate there is lots of excellent work going on……experts in this room! Prisons are different Reviews underway regarding roles…..but today Focus is Thorn Cross YOI

  4. What we do….. Day to day partnership working between: Prison Resettlement Teams Probation, ACHIEVE North West, Custody to Work Team, Working Links, Connexions/Next Step Manchester College Focussing upon Pre-release employment and skills advice and financial support.

  5. How we do it….. Diagnostic interviews with referrals to appropriate Partners. One to one work focused interviews. Voluntary and paid custodial “work outs”. Prison and Community Work Clubs .

  6. ACHIEVE North West Prison and Community focused. Work Clubs. “Through the Gate” support. Success story.

  7. Where next ? Virtual Campus. Jobcentre Plus “Through the gate” support. Closer links between Jobcentre Plus/Custody to Work Team and Employers. A working model for all Prison establishments.
