  6. Funding • BRAC Grant for $16 million • For infrastructure to support Industrial Site Development • Also allows for residential service

  7. Connection to the System • Not mandatory at this time • The District is proceeding on the basis of voluntary connection

  8. Health Department Concerns • Failing on-site systems • Space to make repairs • Package treatment plants

  9. Benefits of a Public System • Tie-in to sewer system • More environmentally friendly • Less maintenance • Possible increase in property value • Increase land use options

  10. What’s the Downside? • Tap fee to hook on • Monthly sewer bill • Construction disruption
