  3. Purpose of District L.I.S.D. Cheer Program Vertically Aligned Program 7th grade – Varsity Support/Promote/Define Spirit Leader and Athleticism of cheerleading Provide district support to the campus for expectations, behavior, discipline, grading policy, attendance, etc. Provide structure for middle school “mock audition” and placement to skills-based squads. Provide structure for high school cheer tryouts

  4. Vertically Aligned • General Conduct, Page 6 • Attendance, Page 7 • General Expectations, Page 8 • Skills Based Programming – Beginning Fall 2014 • 2014.2015 – 7th & 8th & Freshman Squads • 2015.2016 – Junior Varsity & Varsity

  5. Spirit Leader & Athlete • Developing Student Leadership • Promoting “Leopard Spirit” across campus activities • Skills Based Program • Jumps • Motions • Tumbling • Dance • Strength & Conditioning

  6. Campus Support Competitive Cheer is not an excused absence from any LISD Cheer activities, practices, performances Grading Policies Discipline Procedures Program Costs Booster Club Practices

Tryouts: Willow Springs Middle School • Rising 7th & 8th Grade “sign-up” cheerleaders will participate in a Mock Audition in March • Scores will be used as skill placement for Red and Black Teams • Safety • Campus assessments will routinely occur throughout the year to identify growth and promotion to a squad with higher skills.

  8. Tryouts: Lovejoy High School Squads: Freshman, Junior Varsity & Varsity 3 Judge Panel selected from nationally recognized cheer companies such as NCA or UCA 100 point score sheet, cumulative scores Squad decisions will be determined by highest scores. Judges scoring is final.
