Steep bank slopes-fenced off for public safely, concrete lined channel • Roads on top of both banks within feet of sloped bank of stream • Dense urban single-family dwellings • Floods fairly often due to flow, ice jams, & backwater effects from the Buffalo River • City of Buffalo, NY project • Pool-riffle-pool stream, less than 1% slope
