Projects for Council • Programming: Sessions for Chicago • Case Conference / Stump the Professor Symposium • Call for Abstracts from trainees • Travel awards to trainees selected • Multidisciplinary expert panel to discuss cases as unknowns • Symposium not just for fellows but to all attendees • Committee: Cassie Kennedy, Hannah Zimmerman, Pali Shah • Career Development: Symposium on career development / grant writing / strategies for successful career in heart and lung transplantation. • Fellows luncheon: For networking – introduction to leadership, strategies to get involved in ISHLT

Projects for Council • Fellowship Training Program Availability: • Strong interest / high priority • JFTC Council would like to be integrally involved in development • Identifying which programs have transplant fellowships (or the equivalent internationally) • Summarize the structure, requirements, curriculum • list of training programs available on the website

  7. III. Projects for Council • Web based education:  • JFTC members have identified need for and are interested in working to having evidence based literature / curriculum available on the website on topics in transplantation • Several members interested in working to develop this on website

  8. Identified Needs / Concerns • Liason with board member • Concern about role of JFTC – reservations expressed by some junior faculty members about mix of trainees and junior faculty members
