  4. Emissions included in ctm2 but not in qfy emissions: --> c6h14 in ipcc and POET versions --> c6hxr in ipcc version, where it was defined as 15.3% of total voc Emissions included in qfy emissions but not in CTM2 POET emissions: --> ch3cho only in ipcc version, where it was defined as 1.6% of total voc --> ch3coc2h5 (methyl ethyl ketone, MEK), but emission now included as ‘CH3COX’ Emissions included in qfy emissions but not in CTM2 as a component: --> ch3oh (methanol) --> hcooh (formic acid) --> ch3cooh (acetic acid)

  5. June: POET qfy CO: nt: 29.04 73.02 road: 16.37 6.02 ship: 0.009 0.114 bb: 19.48 biog: 18.07 10.51 NOx: nt: 1.53 2.36 road: 0.76 0.56 ship: 0.25 0.36 bb: 0.38 biog: 1.00 0.72 (soil-NO)

  7. Not included in preliminary runs: • Sulphur module • New PSC scheme • Emission heights • Timepos after May 2003 (until May ok) • Year 2004 • 5-hourly output New runs will be started next week… (also because Gunnar Myhre needs OC/BC/SO4)

  8. Perturbations in CO and NOx in Jan 2003:

  9. Surface ozone change

  10. Perturbations in ozone in March, June, September and December 2003:

  11. Percentage contributions to ozone in March, June, September and December 2003: (singularities due to division by zero)

  12. Linearity

  13. How are we doing with time? • Did Michael take the 20th August deadline too seriously? • What do we need for the report • diagnostics needed for the report?

  14. End of part 1

  15. SRB (storage resource broker) • Responsible person at UiO: Jostein Sundet • In case of problems: mailto:hpc@usit.uio.no • As of today 4 Tbyte disk space are available, but how much do we need?

  16. Two ways of file transfer: • Web interface (http://srb.uio.no/mySRB/) • Pre-compiled shell commands (recommended)

  17. Pre-compiled commands are available here: http://hpc.uio.no/… (ask Michael) In addition you need to create a subdirectory called .srb in your home directory, i.e. $Home/.srb There you have to create two files, .MdasAuth and .MdasEnv (you can get these from Michael)

  18. Then, all you need to do is Sinit Scd … Sls Sget <filename> Sput <filename>

  19. Caution We are using the same user name and password! • Everybody can delete / change / rename / overwrite / sabotage anybody else’s files! • Please be careful and comply exactly with file name specifications.

  20. End of part 2

  21. Need input from A1 Sensitivity study?No carbon, but NOx? 2030 & 2050? Endresen (less S) Sep 2006 Jun 2008 … and CCMs

  22. Action items on UiO… - Make contact with emissions gurus - How much input can we expect from them? - Suggestions welcome - Later: Sensitivity experiments and, when input from A1 (or other sources) is available: new simulations - Output specifications to be discussed with A7

  23. End of part 3
