  2. Clean Campus Classroom Program • After taking 5th period attendance, scheduled classes are escorted to the Back Quad by their teacher. You will meet with our custodianwho will explain the task at hand. • Follow-up discussion in the classroom helps everyone brainstorm how to prevent so much lunch trash in the first place.   6. Congratulations Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams for their solid performances at the Mustang Cross Country Invitational in Chula Vista on Friday. The Boys team placed 4th overall out of 16 teams.   They were led by medalists Mulugeta Engdaw (9th), Awal Hussen (18th), Sawiros Haile (21st), and Cristobal Navarette (29th). The Girls team placed 7th overall out of 13 teams.   They were led by medalists Diana Bataz (29th), and Anadela Navarette (30th). We are looking forward to an exciting season!

  19. OPEN Wrestling Room every Tuesday and Thursday. • We also have Strength Training in the weight room Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Everyone is welcome. • Meet right after school by the wrestling room (in back of the Big Gym under the upper bleachers). • Come work out and learn new moves and/or what the sport of wrestling is all about. Hoover Cross Country • We are looking for male and female runners of all abilities to join the 2013 team. • Earn a varsity letter while you have fun, learn to push yourself, get in shape, make friends, get academic support, and travel to competitions. • To join, meet for practice at 2:50 in front of the boys' locker room every day.   26. Saturday School Begins this Saturday September 21, 2013 8:00am-12:00pm. Come and clear your detentions and get off the LOP list. Students will meet no later than 8am in the front quad where they will be assigned a classroom for the four hours. Students must stay in Saturday School for the entire four hours to receive credit. All Saturday School dates will soon be up on the Hoover website calendar.

  27. Detention Starts This Week • Detention will be held every day after school in Room 405/Computer Lab.  • Please tell students to enter through the outside door, not the Library.  • Detention starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:30.  • Students must be ON TIME to receive detention credit.
