Dementia

Our initiative focuses on improving fire and rescue service delivery in West Yorkshire, particularly for individuals with dementia. With an estimated 23,623 people living with dementia in the region, including 4,344 in Kirklees, we recognize the critical need for tailored safety measures. Collaborating with local partnerships such as the Dementia Alliance, mental health services, and housing associations, we aim to reduce risks related to fire incidents, enhance community well-being, and ultimately save lives.
