  8. How much is there? Water What kinds are there? Where is it found? The water cycle and more.

  9. How Much is There? • Approximately three-fourths of the earth is water.

  10. What kinds are there? • 97% of the water is salt water, and is found in the oceans of the world. • 3% of the water is fresh water on which we depend.

  11. Where is it found? • Water comes from several places. Oceans Lakes Ponds Rivers

  13. Let’s discuss the vocabulary Condensation – when warm air collides with cold air and droplets form. Precipitation – droplets that after being condensed begin to fall to the earth in the form of rain, sleet, hail, glaze, or snow. Erosion – the movement of soil by wind or water. Melting – when a solid changes into a liquid. Percolation – the movement of water through the soil. Evaporation – The process of liquid water becoming vapor.
