  2. If you’re a child, do you want to be treated like this? 1. Make sure you are rested, clean, and well-fed when they go to school. 2. Provide a well-lighted area at home where you do homework or read and write. 3. Make sure you attend school regularly. Encourage you to do well in school and praise you when you do something good.

  3. Get involved in your education. Read with you. Know what you are learning at school and whether they are able to do your work. Answer notes, messages, or phone calls from your school. Attend parent-teacher conferences.

  7. In good schools, parents… 1. Participate with the school in establishing its organizational goals. 2. Visit with teachers and administrators at the school on regular basis. 3. Join a school organization if at all possible. • Listen to their children. 5 ….

Speak with feeling and sincerity. 6. Touch your child affectionately, maybe a pat on the back. 7. Praise immediately, as soon as you notice commendable behavior.
