  2. Background • Tuition has nearly doubled over the last 6 years. • Students are unable to plan for tuition costs when they are so volatile. • It is not fair to put the burden on University student and parents.

Recent News • Governor Brewer has called on Arizona’s Universities to be more predictable • Increasingly across the nation, schools are responding to student pleas for a stable, predictable tuition. • HB 2244: States that any eligible undergraduate student who enters full-time the University of Arizona beginning in Fall 2014, will be given tuition that will not increase at all during their four-year program. • NAU’s Current Pledge Tuition Program
