  4. Languages • Turkish • Arabic • Kurdish • Kids in school are learning English. • Hello in Turkey is “Merhaba” and Yes is “Evet.”

  5. Kids in Turkey • Older kids weave beautiful carpets • Takes months to finish a carpet • Some kids go out to movies and spend time with friends.

  6. Troubles • Fighting since 1984 • Thousands of people lost their lifes because of the struggle • Working hard to make their country a better place

  7. Games and sports • Soccer is very popular • It was introduced by the British in the 19th century • Also play volleyball, basketball, and they swim
