Thiswasavaluableexercise, asthefacultygota goodsenseofnotonlytheDQPareas, butofhowtheseinterplayinandbetween coursesaswellaswithinadegree.
Clatsop CC For ourlowerdivisiontransferclasses, weare forminganadvisorycommitteemadeof4yearuniversityprofessorstohelpusalignoutcomesin thoseclassestoour4yearpartners.
Columbia Gorge CC Columbia Gorge CC hasscheduledaworksessioninMarchtoreviewandpossibly reviseourcoreeducationaloutcomes.
Oregon Coast CC Our NationalVisitingCommitteefor theAquariumScienceProgramisintownthisweek. TheDQPwillbeintroducedtothemin additiontotheirregularannual programreview. (We are interested in ) seeinghowothercollegesareusingtheDQPaspartofprogramassessmentandimprovement.
Oregon Institute of Technology June 2012—the DQPcampusteamwasappointedbytheProvostandheldaninitialmeeting. October2012—the DQPteamattendedtheOctoberDQPconferenceandreportedbacktothe Executive Committee oftheAssessmentCommission. January29, 2013—theProvostissuedachargetoreviewgeneraleducationatOregonTech usingtheDQPasacomparisontool. February2013—theProvostisforminganadhoccommitteeforthis3yearreviewprocess. February2013—onetechnicalandonealliedhealthprogramhavebeentargetedtomap programoutcomestotheDQPandprovidefeedbackontheprocess.
Southern Oregon University We chose twopilotprogramstostarttheprocess, andweintendtoexpandthescopeinthecomingyears. Additionally, wesimplifiedtheinstitutionalengagementbylesseningtherequirementsfor programevaluationcompletion, namelywearenotrequiringthedefinitionofindividualcourse objectivesatthistime. WhileweunderstandyourreasonforcontinuingwiththeDQPproject,wearestillunsureaboutthe“howthiswillbenefitus”.
