Legislative Priorities The following slides rate the importance of KPHA’s legislative priorities.
Other Legislative Priorities • Workforce development, staffing and training as a profession. • Diminishing environmental, mental and oral health. • Lack of the ability to provide services even though they are mandated. • Advocacy for car seats for KDOT for at-risk children. • Recognizing individuals with disabilities as having health disparities and addressing this need.
Main Reason for Not Attending Annual Meeting • Funding/budget cuts • Time • Conflicting meetings • Student and cannot miss classes • Sessions do not fit with job duties
