Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Philippians 2:15-16a “so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the Word of life.”

Purity in the Outer Life (Purity in Conduct) – Pure Behavior (1 Peter 3:2) & Pure Actions (Titus 2:5). 1 Peter 3:2 “when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.” Titus 2:5 “and to be sensible, morally pure, working at home, kind and submissive to their own husbands, so that God’s word won’t be ridiculed.”

  8. 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 “9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people — 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sisterbut is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.”

  9. We are to avoid sin from coming into our life/heart, but we are not to avoid (non-Christian) people with sin.

  10. “why is it that you, a white woman, would want to save the life of a man by placing your lips, the most sacred part of the body, against his foot, the most despised part of the body?” “Because my God, who loves and values all people, asked me to do it.”
