  2. Mission Statement • Our mission is to enable all students to sustain regular, lifelong physical activity as a foundation for a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life.

  3. Objectives • To develop the individuals fitness and wellness. • To develop the individuals knowledge of how to improve fitness and wellness. • To develop an understanding of why an active lifestyle is important.

  4. Grading Policy • Each 10 week grade will be based on the following categories of assessment. • 50% Daily participation and preparedness (15 points per day). • 25% Skill and or strategy assessments. • 25% Written assessments.

  5. PARTICIPATION • Ten of the fifteen points are earned from participation. The way in which you perform in class with regard to participation, will be judged on a daily basis. Your participation, coupled with your preparation points, account for 50% of your grade. Participation will be graded using the following rubric.

Preparation • 0 Points- Not dressed and not participating • 1 Points- Dressed and not participating. • 2 Points- Missing shirt, shorts and sneakers (must borrow). • 3 Points- Dressed in shirt and shorts, no sneakers (must borrow). • 4 Points- Missing shirt or shorts (must borrow), has sneakers. • 5 Points- Dressed in shirt and shorts with sneakers.
