  2. My Rules • I will teach with no distractions. • I listen to one person at a time. • I answer a question when a hand is raised. • I treat every student as an individual.

  3. Class Rules • Be prepared • Be on time. • Maintain orderly conduct. • No food or drink in class. • Leave area clean.

  4. BASIC RULE!!!! • You may basically do anything you like in this class as long as it does not cause a problem for anyone else.

  7. Term Three • Spelling-6 Units • Grammar • Drama-Shakespeare-Romeo and Juliet • Writing 6 Assignments • Expository Writing • Two Booktalks-Fantasy, Science Fiction

Academic Grading for English • Grading is achieved on a point system • Points are deducted for: Late Assignments, lack of Preparation, Incomplete work. • Points are accumulated by: Unit tests, Grammar Assignments, Quizzes, Participation, Spelling Scores, Booktalks, Completed projects, Writing Assignments, Reading Charts.

  11. Grading Procedures • 15% Grammar (assignments, quizzes, tests) • 20% Bellwork (daily), Two Booktalks • 25% Writing • 20% Spelling (preparation, pretest, final) • 20% Literature (questions, readings, quizzes, and tests)
