  2. Employed Team Members • Employed Participants - Employed participants on the programme will not need a CRB disclosure. They are classified as 'peers’ of the group even though they provide some additional help.

  3. Groups of mixed ages – Groups where some participants are 18 and over whilst others are under 18 are also classified as peer groups. Therefore the participants aged 18 + do not require a CRB disclosure to have contact with those <18.

  4. Team Programme staff – Those staff who have contact with children (<18) in an educational establishment (e.g. school or college premises) will require a CRB disclosure. These requirements should be adopted with immediate effect for all those who commenced this contact for the first time on behalf of The Trust subsequent to 12 October 2009. Anyone who was already working on this basis prior to this date will be required to register under the new scheme on a phased basis from next year. PT will provide more details of this once the final phasing is announced.

  5. Supervised contact - Those with a CRB disclosure application in course can have contact with those under 18, as long as they are being supervised by someone with a satisfactory CRB disclosure in place. Please note that this provision will end in November 2010 when the VBS registration scheme is rolled out, where after only those who have received a satisfactory disclosure will be able to have contact.
