  3. Ohio TIF Goals All students graduate from high school college-and career-ready Achieve nation’s highest college attendance and completion rates Eliminate achievement gaps

  4. River View’s Goals Through Ohio TIF TIF is supporting our district goals -transition to new common core and state curriculum and educator standards -increase teacher capacity to implement formative instructional practices -use student data to inform decisions -foster teacher leaders Award program to invest in educators and celebrate success.

  5. Award Model Development Collaborative process with team comprised of five teachers and two administrators. Year 1 award model implemented in 2011-2012 school year.

  6. River View’s Award Model Our goals: -Recognizing district achievement -Recognizing growth and achievement at building level -Fostering teacher growth -Rewarding district leaders Components of award model -student achievement -student growth -staff accountability -staff leadership

  7. Recognizing district achievement District Report Card Meet value-added (Grades 4-8 and OGT) Meet Adequate Yearly Progress Increase Performance Index Student attendance rate at least 95% Graduation rate at least 93% Potential Award: $1000

  8. Recognizing building achievement Building Report Card Meet value-added (Grades 4-8 and OGT) Meet Adequate Yearly Progress Increase Performance Index Potential Award: $2000

  9. Fostering teacher growth Staff Accountability Educator attendance at least 95% Completion of Individual Professional Development Plan and its supporting documentation Potential Award: $500

  10. District Leadership District Task Force Attend district meetings Communicate with building staff Provide staff development at building level Potential Award: $500

  11. Eligibility Requirements More than 50% instructional time with students Under contract from beginning to end of school year 94% attendance rate and employed 120 days Completion of Opt Out form by fall deadline if not participating

  12. Data Data is collected through 2011-2012 school year. River View will participate in linkage of teachers and students in the spring. The BFK Award will be used to report, verify and calculate awards. Payouts for Year 1 will be made in late 2012 or early 2013.

  13. Year 2 Award Model Enhancement Award model will be enhanced for Year 2. Timeline for TIF Committee January-February: Research what other districts have included. March: Draft Year 2 design model and revise eligibility requirements as needed. April: Finalize design model draft for submission and consideration.
