What is a social networking service • Is an online service that building of social networks or social relations among people. • Social networking sites allow users to chatting, share ideas, activities, interests, and photos, within their individual networks. • For example: Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and etc.

  3. issues of social networking sites • Online bullying • Example: Teenagers can post offensive remarks or pictures that can cause a emotional pain for another individual. • Identity theft • Example: A person can stealing someone’s identity for social networking sites and used it for other benefits. • Risk for child safety • Example: Child pornography, child abuse images and writings depicting sexually explicit activities involving a child.

Don’t be afraid to ask your kids to explain it to you. • Set limits • Limit the amount of time for your teens . For example: 2 hours per day. • Teaching • Teach your teens to beware of people they don’t know, discuss what is and is not appropriate to share online, and teach them the risks and dangers of sharing personal information. • Talk to your teens • Start a conversation with your teen.
