GMAT EXAM FORMATGMAT includes four sections - Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning Section, Quantitative Section and Verbal Section. With the test time being three and half hours, planning your time with equal focus on all the four sections is sure to bring you a reasonably good score.Analytical Writing Assessment: This is graded on a scale of 1 (minimum) to 6 (maximum) in half-point intervals (1-deficient, 2-flawed, 3-limited, 4-adequate, 5-strong, and 6-outstanding).
Integrated Reasoning Section: Consists of 12 questions in four different formats: Graphics interpretation, two-part analysis, table analysis, and multi-source reasoning. The scores range from 1 to 8. Quantitative Section: Measures the ability to reason quantitatively, solve quantitative problems, interpret graphic data, and analyze and use information given in a problem. Questions require knowledge of certain algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. Scores range from 0 to 60.
Verbal Section: Includes reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. Verbal scores range from 0 to 60.Scoring at GMAT is more complicated than it is considered to be. The total GMAT score ranges from 200 to 800 and measures performance on the quantitative and verbal sections together.
