  2. Many people enjoy playing in a variety of sports such as tennis, cricket, football, rugby, swimming, ice hockey, skating, boxing, and many more. Not only are these a lot of fun, but they also provide a lot of exercise which is always a good thing. Even something like golf, which one might think of as not all that strenuous, still means that a player may have to walk two or three miles, and it helps to keep us fit. There is also another great benefit, and that is the pleasure that one gets from winning. Of course, there is also the other side of the coin, and that is losing! However, even that has a benefit because it makes a player try harder in order to win next time. So, there are not only physical benefits, but mental health benefits as well.

  3. Being The BEST! • Not only that but playing in a sport makes you not only want to win, but to be the BEST at what you do. This is why so many sports, if not all of them, offer prizes for being the best, whether that’s winning a particular match, being the best team over the season, a championship winning golfer, or whatever. Winning a prize is a reward for being top, the best, first, and so on, and not only makes the winner feel great but also provides a physical trophy that he or she can display at home or at the club as an acknowledgement of their achievement. • Trophies can come in an almost endless array of different forms, many of them having something to do with the particular sport. So, a darts trophy may consist of three gold-plated darts on a stand for example, or perhaps with football a shiny chrome football with the winner’s name on it. • Crystal glass trophies are often used as well. These can be crafted so that they represent the individual sport, or perhaps levels in that sport such as “Under 13”, “!8”, or maybe “Highest Score” (of the season).
