  11. STORIES – MAUD SULTER’S, ESI EDUGYAN’S AND MINE. Sulter’s poetic-story -“Blood Money” - the life of a Cameroonian young girl called Monique - “There’s no way I can make this poem rhyme”. Esi Edugyan’s Half Blood Blues - Hitler’s thugs lump together blacks and Jews as in “‘Jewkikes!’” and “‘Niggerkikes!’” Maud Sulter: the presence of Africa in Europe Me: The presence of Europe in Africa

  13. I entered through the intricately carved door of Maud Sulter’s studio

  14. The studio door swung itself off its hinges and on its magic wings we flew to the digital site

  15. Kwesi was liberated from where he had lain, petrified in rock

  16. I looked again at Maud Sulter’s artwork in all its holistic magnificence& saw the miracle of her big shoeprint on the mountain – Cape Town’s Table Mountain perhaps?
