Introduction • Started in Auckland, New Zealand in 2003 as the Asia Pacific Forum • 12 countries /Charter membersi.e Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Pakistan, Samoa, Singapore, United Kingdom and Vanuatu. • CRF registered under the Hong Kong Business Ordinance as an unincorporated entity. • Executive Committee - 6 members ECRF 2010

CORPORATE REGISTERS FORUM- • an international not for profit organisation for administrators of corporate registers; • to provide delegates with the opportunity to review the latest developments in corporate business registers internationally; • exchange experiences and information on the present and future operation of corporate business registration systems. ECRF 2010

  4. Objects of CRF • To promote liaison, co-operation and discussion among Members' jurisdictions/countries. • To exchange or facilitate the exchange of information on :- • the registry systems of Members' jurisdictions/countries • their roles and responsibilities, and • issues relevant to their activities, including operational and management practices and procedures, technologies used or proposed and responses to changing registration trends. Objects (contd) • To identify issues and problems that are seen to impede the efficient and effective management of registries, particularly any cross-border issues. • To liaise with other international registry management organisations and constituencies on common registry management issues. ECRF 2010

  7. Constitution • Adopted at the Melbourne Forum on 11 March 2005 • amended at the Vancouver Forum on 3 April 2008. ECRF 2010

Conferences • The Corporate Registers Forum meets once a year for an annual conference. • Conferences provide an opportunity for members to reflect on and share their experiences, as well as gain new ideas and knowledge. • The Corporate Registers Forum also holds its Annual General Meeting as part of each conference, where the Executive committee for the coming year is elected. International linkages • IACA & ECRF Membership of the Corporate Registers Forum is open to any jurisdiction even those which are eligible for full membership of the European Commerce Registers Forum (ECRF) or the International Association of Corporate Administrators (IACA) • MOU with ECRF • LATIN AMERICA AND CARRIBEAN COUNTRIES - Colombia Association - formed in April 2010 • CRF and the IFC enter into a Memorandum of Understanding ECRF 2010

  13. CRF - Mauritius 2010 • The 2010 CRF conference was hosted by The Companies Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Empowerment, Republic of Mauritius. • The event was held from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd April 2010. ECRF 2010
